This was a joyous celebration of the team’s achievement in reaching the tournament and performing so well at this global event – the first time Cyprus has been represented on the world stage in this rapidly developing sport.
The squad and management were drawn from three teams in the Pafos region i.e. ENAD Panthers, Pafos United and Polis & Latchi Lions.
In addition, Cyprus provided two referees for the tournament.
ENAD players Mario Trinci, Alan Poulter, Antonis Antoniou, Kostas Papaioannou and Petros Petrou were among those honoured at the ceremony.
Guests included Kyriacos Cleanthous (representing the Cyprus FA and presenting awards), Andreas & Marina Menelaou (proprietors of Fair Game – the team's home venue), the players and management team, our referees and WFiC representatives.

Dear friends, teammates and guests,
Today, we are here to celebrate something far greater than a simple sporting involvement. We are celebrating a journey — a three-year journey in walking football, a sport that has given me better physical condition, improved health, new goals, and above all, a true sense of family.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank a symbolic figure in our community: our coach, Keith Dutfield. He was the founder of walking football in our region, the person who not only believed in the sport, but believed in us. He was the one who encouraged me to get involved, the one who gave me my first step into this journey.
Keith passed away recently, but his legacy stands clearly before us today: in our training, in our team, in our love for the game. We owe him so much, and we honour him with all our hearts.
At ENAD Panthers of Polis Chrysochous, we experience every day the positive impact of this sport:
– the improvement of our physical condition,
– the strengthening of our overall health,
– the renewal of goals and ambitions,
– and the joy, connection and sense of belonging it brings.
And this year, we lived something even greater:
For the very first time, Cyprus participated — even if unofficially* — in the Walking Football World Cup held in Spain. For me, wearing the national badge and representing my country alongside my teammates and the people who support our team was an honour beyond words. It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, an experience that will stay with me forever.
Today’s event is not just a celebration; it is a confirmation that when vision, effort and heart come together, we can achieve anything.
We hope that this first participation will be only the beginning — that the necessary steps will be taken for Cyprus to continue, this time as an official National Team, to have a presence in global walking football competitions.
Because we deserve it. Because our daily effort deserves it. And because we owe it to people like Keith, who believed in this dream long before anyone else.
Thank you all sincerely for your support, your affection and the journey we share.
Let us continue forward, together, with respect, unity and passion — as every good team does.
Thank you.
